Royal Marines Cadets from Rosyth had a spring in their step after picking up a national award.
They were presented with a trophy last month for the most improved detachment in the UK by the Staff Royal Marines Officer WO2 Gillespie - Antal RM.
Detachment commander, Lewis MacQueen, told the Press: "This is a highly prestigious award and we were honoured to receive it.
"Secondly, we celebrated the appointment of one of our senior cadets, Cadet Corporal Scott, as a Lord Lieutenant Cadet for the Kingdom of Fife.

"She received the award from Vice Lord Lieutenant Mrs Fiona Robertson, who has been a tremendous supporter of the sea cadets unit.
"I am sure this year will be full of wonderful opportunities for Cpl Scott as she carries out her duties assisting the lord lieutenants."
Royal Marines Cadets are a sub-branch of the Sea Cadet Corps.
They enjoy all the exciting water-based activities but also take on serious adventure training too, with specialities including orienteering, field craft and weapons handling.
It's open to anyone aged 13-18. The Rosyth detachment parade at HMS Caledonia on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6.45pm to 9pm.
They are also looking for adult volunteers to help out.
