A ROSYTH drug-driver was caught behind the wheel when almost three times over the limit for cannabis.
Craig Bingham, 46, of Linton Place, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on 10th April last year at Kings Road, Rosyth, he drove with excess cannabis in his system.
His reading was 5.9 microgrammes of THC per litre of blood, the limit being 2 microgrammes.
Defence solicitor Allan Davie said: “His son was having a mental health crisis and he jumped in the car.
"He didn’t think he would be over the limit.”
Sheriff Craig McSherry imposed a structured deferred sentence and Bingham will return to court on 28th August.
He also imposed a temporary driving ban until then.
