MORE THAN 100 patients didn't attend their appointments at a West Fife medical practice last month.
Oakley Health Centre have pointed out that other people who need to see the doctor could have used these slots.
They have asked patients to cancel any appointments that they are unable to attend after a huge number didn't attend as scheduled last month.
The health centre shared their plea on Facebook, writing: "During the month of May, 121 patients did not attend their doctor / nurse appointment.
"This is a waste of valuable appointments that could have been given to other patients that require them. Please cancel any appointment if you are unable to attend.
"We understand that mistakes happen and appointments can be forgotten.
"However, each patient that has a mobile number registered with us receives a text message reminder 24 hours before their appointment to avoid wasted slots."
