A DUNFERMLINE teenager has been put on the sex offenders register for three years after being caught with a stash of indecent images of children.

Calin Schreiner, 19, of Spynie Place, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court wearing a face-mask which he was told to remove.

He previously admitted that between 18th November 2021 and 30th July 2022 he was in possession of indecent photographs of children.

Schreiner, a student who also organises music events, was 16 when he started offending and he was later caught with the sick images on his phone.

Sentencing had been deferred for reports.

Defence solicitor Aime Allan said her client had “a number of physical and mental health difficulties”.

He is currently in further education and has “sporadic employment organising music events”.

Sheriff Susan Duff imposed a community payback order with three years of supervision and Schreiner was put on the sex offenders register for the same period.
