A 32-year-old man ignored a driving ban to go on a high-speed motorbike joyride through Fife and over the Queensferry Crossing.
Peter Hemsworth mounted a pavement to escape from the police, who ended their pursuit for safety reasons.
Hemsworth, of Oak Street, Kinghorn, was jailed when he appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He had previously been found guilty of all the charges he was facing at a trial.
The offences took place on 28th April 2022, on the M90, the Queensferry Crossing, Edinburgh and elsewhere.
Hemsworth drove a motorcycle while disqualified and without insurance.
He drove dangerously, overtook a vehicle in the wrong lane, swerved between lanes, drove at excessive speed and on to a pedestrian footpath.
He failed to stop for a uniformed police officer.
He later failed to identify who was driving as required to do so by the police.
Sheriff Susan Duff recalled the incident included Hemsworth driving at over 100 mph in a 50mph limit and mounting a public pathway.
The risk to the public resulted in police ending their pursuit.
Sheriff Duff jailed Hemsworth for 12 months and banned him from driving for six years.
Hemsworth has previously been jailed for road traffic offences and was also given a six-year ban in 2020.
