SUMMER fun is being planned in South and West Fife after a successful funding bid.
Councillors agreed to award £18,000 from the Local Community Planning budget and £18,000 from area budgets to support a range of activities this summer.
The aim is to help young people and their families get out and about and keep active through the holidays.

Convener of the South and West Fife area committee, Cllr David Barratt, said: “For many families it’s just not possible to afford the extra costs necessary to keep their children occupied for seven weeks in the summer.
“This full programme of activities, which will be free to all children, young people and families, will have something for everyone to keep young ones happy through the holidays.”
The summer programme will be delivered by Fife Council Community Development, Community Use Schools, Active Schools, Family Support Service, along with Fife Gingerbread and local management committees.
All activities will have hot and/or cold meals as part of their engagement.
