Travellers set up camp on the site of what will be a new £85 million West Fife school.
There was criticism from one local who said Fife Council should not have left the land at Rosyth 'open'.
A group of travellers brought caravans onto the site, off Admiralty Road at the western outskirts of the town, but the council confirmed they have now moved on.
As previously reported in the Press, planning permission for the new high school in Rosyth was confirmed back in March.

The new £85m school is due to open in August 2026 and will serve 1,735 West Fife pupils.
Cllr Brian Goodall told the Press: “I can confirm that the caravans have indeed moved on. I’m not aware of this site being used as a stop off site previously.
“I can also confirm that other than one message noting that the caravans were there, I’ve had no correspondence from local residents in relation to their presence on this site.”
