POLICE say enquiries are ongoing after a house was broken into in Crossgates.
Officers were called to the Hillview Crescent area early this morning.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 5.30am on Monday, 17 June, to a report of a housebreaking in the Hillview Crescent area of Crossgates.
"Enquiries are ongoing.”
The incident follows a police appeal last week after a "number of reported break-ins and vehicle thefts" in the Duloch area of Dunfermline.

A house was broken into sometime between Thursday evening and Friday morning , with a black Audi RS3 and a grey BMW M135 stolen.
Another property was also broken into during the same night were, it appeared, nothing was taken while another attempted break-in was reported at around 4.40am.
After the incidents, Detective Inspector Lara Loudon said: “We are treating these incidents as linked and believe those responsible may have earlier been seen driving around the area.
