A Dunfermline man drove in Townhill Road when he was banned from the road.

Barry Johnston, 46, of Bute Crescent, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court from custody.

He admitted that on 9th May in Townhill Road, he drove a car when disqualified and without insurance.

He also breached bail conditions by being outwith his address during his curfew period.

Johnston also went on trial for dangerous driving in Townhill Road.

However, after there were discrepancies between the evidence given by two police witnesses over the incident, the Crown dropped the charge.

Johnston previously admitted that between 25th September and 18th October 2022, at Glenrothes and elsewhere in Fife, he engaged in stalking conduct towards his former partner by sending numerous social media messages and emails, phone calls and contacted her friends and relatives.

Sheriff Garry Sutherland called for reports and bail was granted.

Johnston will be sentenced on 23rd July.
