A SEA of colour paraded down the High Street on Saturday for the return of Dunfermline Children's Gala.
It was music to the ears of all that witnessed the spectacular with schoolchildren, bands, entertainers and parent helpers all getting involved in the pop and rockstar theme.
An array of stars from Taylor Swift and Geri Halliwell to Elvis Presley were all spotted along the way with organisers declaring the popular calendar fixture a great success.
There will be an eight page supplement on the gala in Thursday's edition of the Dunfermline Press.
Gala chairperson Gaynor Williamson said: "What a great day it was. The sun was shining and everyone looks to have had a great day.

"It was wonderful to see all the primary schools in the parade. It was a fantastic turnout along the streets of Dunfermline.
"The school children had fun and games when they got to their pitch in the Glen and enjoyed the huge selection of inflatables.
"We have had some useful feedback on social media which we always welcome however to really make a difference, we would ask them to contact us and join up as a rep, a volunteer or even a committee member."
Gaynor was also grateful to all those who contributed to the success of the day.
"A big thank you to the executive committee, the schools reps and all the volunteers, the Army, the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers, the Sea Cadets, the Scouts for the multiple hours worked in additional to normal life," she said.
"Thank you to all the sponsors. The majority of funding comes from fundraising and that has already started for next year. Anyone who would like to help, please get in touch.
"Thanks to Provost Leishman for his continued support and we would like to announce next year's gala date will be Saturday, June 21 2025."
