THE sell-out Block Party will return to Fire Station Creative this Saturday offering a "proper" party vibe.
The event will be hosted by DJ Colin Cook who based the idea for the night on the thriving block parties currently popular in cities to which he travelled, including New York, Naples and Berlin.
The event promises a wide range of fresh tunes.
"There will be a bit of rare disco, underground house music, songs from around the world, peppered with a few party starters," explained Colin. "Overall, a proper block party vibe.”
Having performed at Notting Hill Carnival, and warmed up for The Shamen, he brings a wealth of musical knowledge to his lively performances.

Other career highlights for the DJ include playing alongside names such as Norman Jay MBE, Kerri Chandler, Dave Lee, Dennis Ferrer, Graeme Park, Terry Farley, Pete Heller, as well as other artists from Europe, USA and Japan.
Colin's experience in the industry is evident in his expansive range of music. He added: "Being in the game for so many years has given me a perspective of sounds and how they've developed over time.
"The new and exciting music that current artists and producers are making, as well as finding lost classic tracks that sound good today.
“I want to offer something fresh and different that befits our new city status. We’re as good here as anywhere else, and it’s an exciting time. I really wish for community engagement, ideas and involvement.”
With well-loved hits alongside great new sounds, in an exhilarating atmosphere, a perfect opportunity to get on the dance floor is promised.
Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased on the Eventbrite website or at Fire Station Creative. Doors open at 8pm.
