PLANS for the erection of a one and a half storey outbuilding, a single storey extension and a boundary wall at a house in Carnock have been rejected by Fife Council.

And to make matters worse for Mr Jasdeep Singh, of Camps Road, some of the work has already been done.

The plans for the extension were retrospective. A previous application was refused by the council last summer.

His application explained that work had already begun because the applicant's consultant "advised that no consent was required".

A council report explained: "Insufficient information has been submitted to allow a full assessment of the proposal.

"Due to the lack of information provided, it has not been possible to determine whether the proposal would have a detrimental impact in terms of surface water drainage."
