A ROSYTH teenager who was caught with sickening indecent images of children has been sentenced to supervision.

The stash contained some classed in category ‘A’ for the most vile type of such images.

Zack O’Neill, 19, of Queensferry Road, appeared back at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He previously admitted that between January 18, 2021 and March 16, 2022 he was in possession of indecent photographs of children.

He also took, or permitted to be taken, indecent images of children.

Depute fiscal Charlotte Allan said in 2021 police received intelligence about indecent images being shared between Snapchat accounts.

Acting on this, a search warrant was executed at O’Neill’s home and a number of electrical devices were seized. They were found to contain images in categories A, B and C.

Defence solicitor Brian Black said: “There is a troubled background to this.”

Sheriff Mark O’Hanlon imposed a community payback order with three years of supervision.

O’Neill was also put on the sex offenders register for the same period.
