A POPULAR Dunfermline arts centre is relaunching its café and bar as it approaches its ninth anniversary.
Fire Station Creative, located on Carnegie Drive, is a unique art gallery with artists studios, bar, café, and live music.
Founding director, Ian Moir, said: “The whole project is undergoing a major renovation.
“We have ambitious plans to augment the building and enhance its cultural offer, but our first major step has been the appointment of a new manager and a top quality chef.”
Nikala Thomson has taken up the role of café, bar, and events manager, while Mark Foster has been chosen as chef.
“We’ve already made significant changes and are now offering an exciting food menu, trendy cocktails and faster service.

“We’re already taking many more bookings for birthday parties and special events.” commented Nikala.
Mark has migrated from Garvock House Hotel where he worked as head chef for two years and sous chef for five years.
He commented: “I’m fired up to be working in this wonderful place. It gives me the chance to try new dishes and bring the food into line with the artistic ethos of the venue.
“We’ll continue with old customer favourites, but there’s going to be new options such as Belgian Waffles with bacon and maple syrup. For lunch we’ll offer generous portions of haddock goujons and French fries.”
The café will officially relaunch on Thursday, July 11, where Provost of Fife Jim Leishman will be speaking to invited guests.
