FOOTAGE on social media has shown individuals breaking into a car in Dunfermline.
The attempted theft on Birrell Drive was caught on a security camera and police are investigating the incident which reportedly took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The video clip shows three people dressed in dark clothing gaining entry to the vehicle at the driver’s door before fleeing from the scene without the car.
Police are now investigating.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.55pm on Wednesday, 26 June, we received a report of a car being broken into on Birrell Drive in Dunfermline.
“Enquires are ongoing.”
