A WEST Fife charity has cantered to its 40th birthday celebrations.
The Shiresmill Therapy Riding Centre, which is a member group of the Riding for the Disabled Association, marked reaching the special anniversary with a party at the centre for volunteers past and present, their participants, and supporters.
The group, formerly called Dunfermline Group RDA, started out in 1984 and initially operated out of Shieldbank Riding Centre in Saline, before moving to their purpose-built centre at Shiresmill in 1996, which was officially opened by HRH Princess Royal.
