A SLIMMING expert from Dunfermline has been recognised for the work she does in helping West Fifers lose weight and form new habits to stay slim for life.
Samantha Moat, who runs the weekly Slimming World groups at the City Hotel and St Margarets Parish Church in Dunfermline, was presented with a prestigious Gold Award at the organisation’s annual national awards ceremony in Birmingham.
Samantha became one of Slimming World’s high-flying Gold Consultants.
The accolade is awarded in recognition of achieving the highest levels of support for slimmers, with Samantha giving expert advice to help her members reach their weight-loss goals week after week.

It is given to consultants who consistently have 100 or more members in their group over several months, and who provide such exceptional service that members come back week after week.
Samantha was one of around 100 of Slimming World’s 4,000 consultants to receive the honour this year.
“I’m delighted to have received this Gold Award," she said. "At Slimming World we believe in making dreams come true whether it be dropping clothes sizes, being the way you pictured for a special day or living the life you really want to.
"As a member who became a consultant, I was asked what I wanted to achieve as a consultant and my answer was to help as many people as I could every week to achieve their dreams.
“I truly love my job as I feel like a winner every week helping people change their lives without hunger or deprivation – its so rewarding.”

“It’s not just a triumph for me but also for everyone who are members in my groups as their drive, achievements, bringing new members and weekly attendance made it all possible.
“They’re the ones who make it the success it is, with their fabulous energy, the warm welcome they give to new members and the wonderful compassionate support they show to each other every week without judgment.
“I see them transforming their health, becoming more active, trying out new foods and recipes, and finding the courage to take on challenges that they’ve always dreamed of."
