A DUNFERMLINE dance teacher met the Duchess of Edinburgh and was even complimented by her at a Royal Garden Party.
Allana Brown, who has taught dance for over 50 years, received an invitation to the prestigious Royal Garden Party at the Palace of Holyrood.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla, along with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were all in attendance.
As principal of the Allana Brown School of Dancing, she was recognised for having taught in Dunfermline and West Fife for half a century and invited to the event along with her husband Malcolm.
Allana commented: “It was lovely, I really enjoyed it. Everybody was so friendly.”
During the event, Allana even got to chat with Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.
“She spoke to me, she was so nice. She had quite a wee chat actually.
“She said my outfit was lovely.”

Allana teaches highland dance to children from the age of four to adults.
She is also an examiner and world-wide adjudicator, having judged highland dancing in South Africa, the USA, Canada, and Japan.
Speaking of her students, she told the Press: “They feel part of my family, they become part of your family because you become so close to them.”
She has also enjoyed teaching students with learning support needs in many schools throughout the Kingdom of Fife.
Allana added that her invite to the Royal Garden Party was “the experience of a lifetime.”
