LAST NIGHTS general election saw three seats won for Labour in the West and Central Fife and Clackmannanshire area. 

The three seats on offer were Dunfermline and Dollar, Glenrothes and Mid Fife, and Cowdenbeath and Kirkcaldy. 

Graham Downie of the Labour Party won the seat in the Dunfermline and Dollar constituency.

A total of 44,677 votes were cast in the area, 20,336 of them were for the Scottish Labour Party, 12,095 were for the Scottish National Party, 2,078 were cast for the Scottish Greens, 2,887 were for Reform UK, 3,181 votes were cast for the Liberal Democrats, 3,297 votes were cast for the Scottish Conservative Party, 251 people voted for the Scottish Family Party while there were 324 and 88 votes cast for Graham Hadley and George Morton respectively. 

Richard Baker, also of the Labour Party, was awarded the seat for the Glenrothes and Mid Fife constituency. 

A total of 36,264 votes were cast in the area, 15,994 of them were for Scottish Labour, 13,040 were cast for the Scottish National Party, 1,973 votes were cast for the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party, 1,604 people voted for the Liberal Democrats and 3,528 votes were cast for Reform UK. 

Finally, Melanie Ward of the Scottish Labour Party was awarded the seat of Cowdenbeath and Kirkcaldy after gaining 18,662 votes out of a total of 40,920. 

The Scottish National Party received 11,414 votes, the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party received 3,203 votes, Reform UK received 3,128 votes, there were 1,593 votes cast for the Liberal Democrats, 1,556 for the Scottish Greens, 1,132 for the Alba Party and 126 votes for the Scottish Libertarian Party. 

But it wasn't just a win for Labour as Wendy Chamberlain won in North East Fife with 23,384 votes.
