A DUNFERMLINE-based beagle group have raised a massive £650 for Beagle Welfare.
Bev’s Beagle Buddies Dunfermline & Fife ran the event on Sunday last week to raise money for the dog charity.
Money was raised through a raffle and by selling cakes and biscuits.
Held in Cardenden’s Hooves n’ Paws, field two, Beverley Walker from the group expected about 20 beagles to show up, but on the day, 45 came along to the event.
All breeds of dogs were also welcome to attend as "honorary beagles".
Beagles are members of the hound group and were developed primarily for hunting hares.
They are very inquisitive and energetic dogs.

Beverley commented: “We raised £650 for Beagle Welfare with 45 beagles in attendance and 60 people, the group is run by myself and Danielle Rea.
“The money raised was from a raffle and donations from group members, and I made liver cake and dog biscuits and sold all the 50 bags I made.
“Some members made sandwiches and cakes for the humans.”
Beagle Welfare was formed back in 1979 to give help and advice on the dogs and to rehome those who needed new families.
The charity aims to prevent maltreatment to the dogs, encourage responsible ownership, and promotes responsible breeding across Great Britain.
