THE ROTARY Club of Dunfermline has welcomed its first corporate member.
The new member, Thomson Cooper, is Fife’s largest independent accountancy practice.
They are celebrating their 75th anniversary this year and some of their partners have been members of the rotary in the past.
Alan Mitchell, managing partner of Thomson Cooper, said: “Over the past 50 years or so, some of our partners have been individual members of either the Dunfermline or the West Fife Rotary club, but in our 75th year we thought that becoming a corporate member would cement that relationship further and also encourage others in the organization to benefit by becoming involved with rotary.”

Rotary Club of Dunfermline president, David Walker, commented: “Corporate membership of Rotary is a relatively new idea and allows the participating employer to nominate some of their employees to join in rotary activities.
“It is a great way, not only for the employee to gain new skills, network and have fun, but also to help the local community. We are very pleased that Thomson Cooper have become our first corporate member, having been the main sponsor of our annual gin festival for several years.”
Organisations who would like to inquire about corporate membership can do so through the Rotary’s website.
