THE MSP for Dunfermline has thanked a charity for agreeing to join forces for a special constituency surgery.
Shirley-Anne Somerville is going to partner with Scottish Autism to host the event in Scotland’s newest city from 3pm to 4pm on Wednesday, July 24.
The event aims to provide a welcoming and supportive environment where people can learn about the resources and help available.
Shirley-Anne said: "I believe this is an excellent opportunity for autistic people and their families to seek expert advice, while also getting vital support from their local MSP.
"We have discussed this idea previously and I am grateful to Scottish Autism for their enthusiastic support.

"Hopefully it will be welcomed and if it proves successful then we can explore organising further events in future."
The event will take place at the charity’s Dunfermline office at Unit 1, Pitreavie Business Park, Pitreavie Drive, Dunfermline, KY11 8US.
Mags Anderson, Scottish Autism’s regional manager, said: "We are delighted to be working in partnership with Shirley-Anne Somerville MSP to deliver a surgery for her autistic constituents and their families.
"Our community advice team will be on hand at the surgery to offer support to those who may require it.
"Anyone who is unable to attend the surgery, but is looking for advice, can contact our Fife One Stop Shop on 01592 645350 where our dedicated team of advisors will be able to offer support."
