A MAN has died after a crash on the A92 this morning.

Police have confirmed the 53 year-old died following the incident where his lorry left the carriageway near Cowdenbeath.

Emergency services raced to the scene just after 10am and the route was closed for several hours.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sergeant Mike Thomson of Fife Road Policing said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
