A STRETCH of the A92 has closed for several hours this evening (Tuesday) to allow recovery of a lorry involved in a fatal crash.
Police Scotland have confirmed that the A92 would be partially closed eastbound between Crossgates and Cowdenbeath from 7.30pm while the vehicle is removed from the scene of this morning’s fatality.
The Cowdenbeath junction is closed and traffic are unable to exit the A92 from there.
Police say the closure will be in place for “several hours” and members of the public are advised to avoid the area as there will be delays.

Earlier today, Police confirmed that a 53 year-old man had died following the crash in which his lorry left the carriageway near Cowdenbeath.
Emergency services raced to the scene just after 10am and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
