WORKS have now been “substantially completed” on roadworks in Dunfermline city centre.
The Bothwell Gardens roundabout roadworks commenced on Monday, June 17.
The project was due to last for 16 weeks with Fife Council investing £650,000 to improve the road network.
It includes the installation of traffic lights at the roundabout, carriageway resurfacing, and signal upgrades at the Elgin Street and Moodie Street crossroads.
The works have received heavy criticism from motorists for the disruption caused, and local businesses have seen a harsh decline in footfall and in income.

With an update, Fife Council's service manager for roads and lighting Mark Dewar said: "We understand how disruptive roadworks can be and we are working closely with the contractor to speed up progress and complete as quickly as possible.
“Works are now substantially completed to Bothwell Gardens roundabout and as such the temporary traffic management has been removed.
"I would like to thank everyone for their continued patience."
