A DUNFERMLINE man caused a disturbance at the home of his former partner.

Christopher Dodds, 41, of Poplar Grove, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on June 2 at Whitelaw Road, Dunfermline, he repeatedly banged on the door of the property, kicked the door and banged on the windows.

Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said the couple had been in a three-year relationship which ended last year.

Dodds had moved out to live elsewhere but returned on this night and started banging on the front door.

The woman was woken up by the noise and when she looked out the window she saw Dodds.

He then started banging on the back door and the police were contacted with officers arriving to find Dodds in an intoxicated state.

Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said: “He shouldn’t have gone around there especially not when he was under the influence of alcohol.”

Sheriff David Hall imposed a community payback order with one year’s supervision.
