A 23-YEAR-OLD man has appeared back in court for an assault carried out at a Dunfermline nightclub in 2021.

Liam Baxter, of Kirktoun Gardens, Ballingry, was sentenced in July of 2022 to 200 hours of unpaid work, but did not complete it.

He also did not turn up at for an appearance at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and was arrested on a warrant.

When Baxter appeared from custody, sentencing was deferred for reports until August 7 and bail was refused.

Baxter assaulted two staff members at a nightclub then made sickening threats to police officers about their families.

He previously admitted that on September 12, last year, at Lourenzo’s, St Margaret Street, he assaulted a female in the course of her employment by striking her on the body, kicking her on the body and spitting on her, to her injury.

He also assaulted a male employee by seizing his hands and biting them and repeatedly spitting on his head and body.

Baxter also admitted he shouted, swore, repeatedly made threats of violence towards the two workers, threatened them and their families with sexual violence and threatened police officers with violence and sexual violence.

Then at Dunfermline police station he shouted, swore, repeatedly made derogatory remarks to police officers, repeatedly threatened police officers and their families with violence and sexual violence.

Sheriff David Hall said at the original sentencing: “Some of the comments here are really off the scale."
