A WOMAN who has worked at ASDA for 20 years is preparing to cut her hair off in memory of her friend.
Janet Fletcher, who works at the St Leonard’s store in Dunfermline is going to cut her hair next Monday, July 22, to give to the Little Princess Trust.
The Little Princess Trust is a charity which provides real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.
“I wanted to do something because my best pal of 23 years passed away in February and I wanted to cut my hair to do something to kind of help the wee kids with cancer," Janet told the Press.

She saw her friend Gordon McKibben, who she called Gordie, go through cancer and she helped look after him when he became unwell.
Janet has been growing her hair out in preparation for the big chop.
She added: “I haven’t measured it, but it’s at least halfway down my back when I have my hair down.”
On average, it costs £700 to provide a wig to a child or young person.
Her hair will be cut at 11am on Monday in the foyer of the St Leonard’s supermarket, so Janet will be surrounded by her colleagues.
