OVER 90 budding performers have been taking to the stage for the Alhambra Theatre Summer Experience.
Led by industry professionals, The Alhambra Theatre Trust has been running the theatrical course since 2012, offering local young people the opportunity to learn stage skills such as acting, singing, and dancing.
Throughout the two-week course, children will learn songs and choreography from Mean Girls, Six, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, and a pop hits segment from artists such as Taylor Swift.
The Alhambra Theatre Trust says the experience offers young people the chance to develop their creativity and, for some participants, bring the arts to life for the first time.

It helps cultivate confidence and self-belief in the children, allowing them to make friends and build relationships with like-minded children from all over the region.
The course will finish with a curtain raiser on the Alhambra Theatre stage on Saturday, July 27 when participants will have the chance to show off their new-found skills.
Tickets for the show are £13.50 and are available to purchase from the Box office or online here.
