THERE is set to be a new vet in town in Dalgety Bay with the opening of a new clinic later this year.
It is hoped that the Forth Coast Veterinary Clinic, which will open on Regents Way, could be welcoming the public and their pets as early as November with work on the premises set to begin in the coming weeks.
Owner and vet Alex Lord, who is behind the plans, explained that it will be small team of three people – including him – who will be working to offer a personal service to pet owners across the area.
"We have got 30 years of experience between us," he said.
"In terms of what we are offering, it is a dedicated first opinion small veterinary clinic offering all GP.
"We do emergency services during the day all from one site.
"It will be consulting, we offer diagnostics, we will have an imaging facility, a surgical theatre, a prep area, separated canine and feline wards."

With materials set to be delivered this week, the fitting out of the clinic will begin soon after.
"We are looking hopefully to get it fitted out in eight weeks but it might be a bit longer," added Alex who has been a self employed vet for the last seven years.
"We are hoping to open in the first half of November.
"We are located on Regents Way just near little Tesco so there is parking and it is pedestrian friendly as well.
"People want a personal touch and want people that care. We are just going to be a humble, independent small medical vet clinic to try and serve the community."
