Aberdour Festival is now in full swing with a range of activities and events underway.
The popular annual event has a packed programme after kicking off on Friday.
On Saturday the festival’s Queen, King and attendants were all crowned before the royal party paraded through the village.
This year’s queen is Alex Dalgliesh with Dougal Jones as the king. Lila Contreras-Romero was chosen as the queen’s attendant and Ruben Craik was also an attendant.
They were crowned by the festival’s own Lynn McGonigall who has been on the festival committee for 39 years and has looked after the royal party for many of those.
To the music of Dysart Colliery Band, the parade led residents and visitors to Dovecot Gates and as a nod to this year being the festival’s 40th anniversary, the theme was 'It's All About the 80s'.

Beach Day also took place on the Saturday at Black Sands with loads of people turning out to enjoy the day.
There was music, children’s entertainment, sports, adventure and stories as well as the raft race.
There were cash prizes for first and second places as well as for the “best dressed” raft.
There was also a sandcastle competition which was split into four categories of sandcastles (for groups of children and adults), sculptures (groups of children and adults), castles or sculptures (for individual children) and castles or sculptures (for groups of children).
Best-selling crime author Ian Rankin appeared at this year’s festival for ‘A Blether and a Bevvy with Ian Rankin’ in the Festival Marquee at Silver Sands.
This was the writer’s first time featuring at the festival and the talk was hosted by fellow author Jenny Colgan.
There are plenty of events still to get involved in. These include a shinty taster session, create the perfect cheeseboard, teen pilates and the mini animals’ zoo.
