GALA FUN will make a return to Valleyfield on Saturday.

The much-anticipated event will begin with the parade, starting at the Co-op at 11am before making its way to the park.

With a number of different rides and activities on offer, it's sure to be a fun-filled day for the whole family.

Amanda McLean, chair of the gala committee, told the Press: "We’ve got all of the inflatables and an under-fives soft play away from the bigger rides, then we’ve got the twister, the Miami and the waltzers for the bigger kids and adults.

"We’ll have face painters, glitter hair and glitter tattoos all available as well."

On top of that, there will be stalls, a tombola, an eating competition and Irish bingo to commemorate two committee members who have sadly died, Lorraine and Irene.

Tickets for this year's gala will be available to buy on the day.

She said: "Any money raised this year goes to next year's fun day. Tickets are priced at £12 this year and that's inclusive so that includes your face paint, all the rides, the inflatables, everything."

Encouraging those to come along and make the most of the community event, Amanda added: "It’s a fun day for everybody, for all ages to enjoy and it's great to see families come together."
