A CONSULTATION is currently taking place on what should be done with a greenspace in Dunfermline.
They're looking for suggestions on what should be done with an area at Paton Street.
The questionnaire aims to gather local people’s thoughts on the communal space between Lauder Street and Donald Street.
There have been several ideas so far, including to grow food, a sensory area, a seating area, fruit trees and a space for children.
Cllr Gordon Pryde commented: “I have been aware of that greenspace since before I became a councillor. It’s quite an extensive bit of greenspace, it’s in between Lauder Street and Donald Street.”
Local group, Chow and Chat, has members that are keen on developing the space and have been involved with discussions on what should be done with it.

“It would be absolutely great if that could be utilised as a community garden or orchard.
“It would need the involvement of residents, it would not work without it.
“There was a hope that there might be some spades in the ground this year, but that’s not happened yet.” Cllr Pryde added.
A spokesperson for Fife Council commented: “The consultation is still ongoing - gathering views on how to use the communal space between Lauder Street and Donald Street as a community garden greenspace.
“There are a number of events being held where people can have their say and there's an online consultation too.”
