THERE will be a road closure in Dunfermline for four nights.

Elgin Street, from the junction with Nethertown Broad Street to the junction with Dickson Street, will be shut from 7pm on Sunday until 6am the following morning.

It will be closed at the same times on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with the work due to be completed by the morning of Thursday August 8.

Fife Council said the temporary road closure is needed as they'll be resurfacing the carriageway. The alternative route for through traffic is via Nethertown Broad Street, St Leonard's Street, Queensferry Road, Primrose Lane and Grange Road.

Access for emergency services, residents and pedestrians will be maintained.
