A WARNING has been issued as counterfeit bank notes have been used in Fife.
Over the past week, Police Scotland have received several reports of fake £50 notes being used in both large and small retailers.
There have also been instances of online purchases where fake £50 notes were used to make purchases in shops across Central and West Fife.
They are asking the public and shop owners to be vigilant.
The areas involved include Dunfermline, Lochgelly and Dalgety Bay.
Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101.
