SCARECROWS popped up in Hillend recently as part of the fun of the annual fair.
This year's event had an Olympic theme and even included an Olympian scarecrow contest.
A walk round of the village saw judges mark the entries and prizes were given for the best

Kids' crafts including medal making and an array of stalls and fun was on offer to suit all ages.
The Hillend organised the traditional bake off contest before the cakes were sold off.
