A LUXURY care home boasting an in-house cinema and bar is set to have an open day this weekend.
The new 60-bed facility has been built adjacent to Pitreavie Castle, on the former Royal Air Force/Navy command centre site.
The Pitreavie Castle Care Home aims to provide on-site entertainment and luxuries so that residents don’t have to venture far - as well as piano bar and cinema it has garden areas, a café, games room and hair salon.
It's operated by Morar Living, who have laid out their aims for the facility to allow everyone to feel at home.
A spokesperson said: “Pitreavie Castle Care Home is designed to be more than just a place to live – it’s a community hub for residents, their families and the wider community.
“With beautiful landscaped gardens, a hair salon, cinema, and a stylish bar/bistro area, our care home is a welcoming place for socialising, relaxing and enjoying life.
“We aim to create an environment where everyone feels at home.”

The care home has also created around 100 new jobs in the area.
Neil Bruce, care home manager, added: “Morar Living’s ethos is Life is for Living, and the community should be very much a part of that.
“Pitreavie Castle Care Home is another step towards combatting loneliness, offering a place where everyone can feel connected.”
The open day will give members of the public the chance to explore the facility and see the entertainment amenities.
It's on Saturday from 1pm to 3pm.
