A DUNFERMLINE woman has been charged in relation to offences of neglect and cruelty to children.
The 53-year-old was arrested at an address in the city and is due to appear in court at a later date.
A police spokesperson confirmed: “Around 4pm on Monday, August 26 police attended a property in the Tolmount Drive area of Dunfermline.
“A 53-year-old woman was charged in connection with Section 12 of the Children and Young Persons Act.
“A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal and she is expected to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court at a later date.”
Section 12 of the act is the legislation used to prosecute offences of neglect and cruelty to persons under the age of 16.
