A DALGETY BAY pub is celebrating a major win at this year’s Scottish Bar and Pub Awards 2024.
Hugo's Bar and Pavilion on Regents Way took home the Staropramen Award for Outstanding Quality at the event on Tuesday, August 27.
Iain Leslie, general manager at Hugo’s, commented: “It came down to the staff, the staff are just the heart and soul of this venue, I am just the organ grinder in the background.
“It was a phenomenal night, there were businesses from all across the sector.
“No way did we think at any point we were going to win that award.”
He said the business will do something for the staff in October, when it’s a little bit quieter, to celebrate the big achievement.

Iain added: “If anything, the locals and the staff are what makes this venue exactly what it is – a complete community hub.
“It comes down to them and their customer service and how they are perceiving themselves in the business.
“They don’t work for me, they work with me and that works, it’s being able to create a phenomenal team.”
He also wanted to thank the owners Martyn Stewart and Roddy Jobson for everything they do.
