A FUN Day in memory of a football coach from Rosyth resulted in some family fun in the town on Saturday.

Tony Spencer passed away in June last year.

Dad John and step mum Angi organised the day in memory of the former St John's Primary and St Columba's High pupil.

Held at Rosyth Sharks Rugby Club, they decided CHAS would be the perfect charity to help because of Tony's love of working with young people.

A race night and auction had also been due to take place on Saturday however they have been postponed until a later date.

John explained: "The fun day went really well. We had a lot of good comments and a lot of people asking if we are going to do it again next year.

"There were fun fair rides, stalls and stuff, the bouncy castle was amazingly popular. I think everybody that was there had a good time.

"We don't know yet how much we have raised. The race night and the sports auction didn't take place so what is happening is we are planning to keep the Tony for Chas (fundraising) page open until the end of October.

"We are going to rearrange the race night and a friend of mine is going to auction all the sports stuff in a couple of weeks."
