BAY TRAVEL are looking to introduce a commercial bus service operating to and from the new Dunfermline Learning Campus.
The company have been in touch with the school and are planning to introduce a service from the start of the second term running to and from the campus to suit school start and finishing times.
This comes after a parent of a pupil of Woodmill High School said there aren’t enough bus services to take students to and from the new campus.
Niall Douglas, operations manager at Bay Travel, commented: “Following feedback it is hoped that that the new service will allow those pupils who are currently not entitled to a dedicated school bus the option of a bus to and from school.
“The new service will operate from Halbeath village to the new campus via Abbeyview & Duloch Park.

“This service would be operated commercially by Bay Travel as a registered local service meaning it would be available to be used by any member of the public.
"Pupils who have U22 Young Scot cards with free bus travel would be able to travel free on this service and the option would be available to pay a fare to the driver for those without.”
The service is being registered with the office of the traffic commissioner and it is anticipated to begin on Monday, October 21.
