IT was the end of an era and the start of a new one at a Dunfermline IT company as its new owners started at the helm.

Gary Campbell and Tom Davison have taken over at Forth Tech as previous owner Ian McBride begins his retirement,

The firm, which provides IT support and cyber security to organisations across the Scotland, has been growing since starting out as part of accountancy firm Condies.

"We have been going for about 20 years," explained Gary. "Tom has been with the company for about 15 years and I have been with the company for about 11 years.

"We are called a managed service provider which is basically outsourced IT. We support businesses up and down the country, usual small to medium sized, who don't have an internal IT."

Currently with seven employees, Forth Tech started out in Abbey Park Place and is now based at the Dunfermline Business Centre in Izatt Avenue.

"Tom and I have helped grow the business over the last few years naturally," added Gary. "The plan is to continue that growth. We don't have major big plans.

"We have gradually developed as a company and transitioned from a managed service provider to a managed security service provider."
