A Bulgarian drink-driver was caught at six times over the limit in Limekilns.
Yulian Markov, 51, of McGrigor Road, Rosyth, had been banned from driving and put on a structured deferred sentence.
However, little progress has been made with that order as he has been back in his native Bulgaria.
That was the update received when Markov appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court with a translator.
He previously admitted that on 20th August last year on the Promenade, Limekilns, he drove a car having consumed excess alcohol.
His reading was 146 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 22 microgrammes.
Sheriff Susan Duff told Markov: “The order will continue for three months. I expect you to stay in Scotland and engage with social work.”
However, Markov then said he needed to go back to Bulgaria again for 20 days.
The sheriff said the order will begin on 1st October and run for three months.
