PLANS to turn a Dunfermline office space into a place of worship have been approved.
Robert Christie, of the Dunfermline United Reformed Church, submitted proposals in July that would see their small and ageing congregation meet in a ground floor unit in the Halbeath Interchange Business Park on Kingseat Road.
And their prayers were answered when Fife Council gave them the green light and consent for a change of use.
The office space will now be used for the congregation for Sunday morning worship, as well as choir practice on Saturday mornings and the occasional evening meeting for smaller groups.

A council report said the move was acceptable and added: "The proposal is compatible with the area in terms of land use, design and scale. Furthermore, no significant impacts would arise in regard to existing levels of amenity or road safety."
One condition of the approval is that the church can only use the space between 6pm and 9pm from Monday to Friday and between 9am and 3pm on Saturday and Sunday - "unless otherwise agreed in writing".
