BIDDERS are still being invited to submit an offer for a prominent Dunfermline High Street property after it went up for auction last week.
The premises which house WH Smith and the Post Office went under the hammer last week but, after it went unsold, a deadline for bids has now been set for Thursday.
Auctioneers Future Property Auctions say the full building is leased until March 2029 by WH Smith.
The retailer is confident any sale of the property, which comprises three floors, will not affect their business.
In July plans were revealed to open a Toys R Us concession within the shop.
A spokesperson for WH Smith told the Press: "The sale of the property will not impact our lease or operations."
And a Post Office spokesperson said the Dunfermline Post Office, which is situated in the shop, will continue to be operated by WH Smith.

In the property listing, the "fully tenanted" property is described as an "outstanding investment opportunity" and hails the "highly prominent trading position".
"Property is sure to appeal to investors looking to purchase an easily manageable/rentable property in a sought after location in Dunfermline." it added.
A guide price of £550,000 has now been set and further detail can be obtained at www.futurepropertyauctions.co.uk.
