Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy crematoriums have been serving the Fife public from 1973 and 1959, respectively.

Every coffin we receive is treated with the utmost respect. Upon arrival, it is brought through the front door and cremated individually, exactly as it was received after the service. We assure you that no items are removed from the coffin, except for floral tributes, which will be thoughtfully laid out for your viewing after the ceremony.

(Image: Dunfermline Crematorium) In compliance with legislation on emissions, we follow strict guidelines regarding the materials used for coffins and the clothing for the deceased. Only natural fibres, such as cotton or wool, are suitable for cremation. Additionally, it is important that items such as glass, books, steel-toe-capped boots, or other mementoes are not placed in the coffin, as they can cause high emissions and damage the cremation equipment.
