A LUXURY care home boasting an in-house cinema and bar is now officially open.
Pitreavie Castle Care Home held an exciting opening weekend following a hugely successful open day last month.
The new 60-bed facility has been built adjacent to Pitreavie Castle, on the former Royal Air Force/Navy command centre site.
The home aims to provide a different living experience for its residents, offering a range of amenities such as gardens, a hair salon, cinema, bar and bistro area.
It’s operated by Morar Living, who are now welcoming residents to come and stay in their care home.
Neil Bruce, care home manager, said: “Morar Living’s ethos is Life is for Living, and the community should be very much a part of that.
“Pitreavie Castle Care Home is another step towards combatting loneliness, offering a place where everyone can feel connected.”

To mark the occasion, the care home welcomed members of the public for an official opening ceremony, which was led by Provost Jim Leishman.
Morar paid their thanks to those who came out to attend the ceremony and looked ahead to welcoming people to stay.
A spokesperson for Morar added: “Pitreavie Castle Care Home in Dunfermline would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible local community for their outstanding support.
“We were truly overwhelmed by the turnout from the community and stakeholders who joined us for our opening weekend.
“The turnout far exceeded our expectations, and the event was a huge success.”
The care home has been confirmed to create more than 100 new jobs in the area.
The spokesperson continued: “We would also like to send our deepest thanks to our staff team, whose incredible hard work over both days clearly demonstrated their commitment to Pitreavie Castle Care Home and to our future residents.
“Special thanks go to the lord provost, Jim Leishman, for officially opening Pitreavie Castle Care Home, and to David Blackwood of Christie’s Scottish Tapas for curating an exquisite menu and supporting us with hospitality.”
The care home is now taking residents – anyone interested in looking for more information should call 0300 174 6738.
