A MOTORIST was stopped in Dunfermline for using their mobile phone while driving.
Fife Road Police pulled the driver over when they saw them using the device while driving in the city.
They have now been reported to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.
Sharing the news on X (formerly Twitter), Road Policing Scotland said: "#FifeRP were in the Dunfermline area when they observed the driver of this vehicle using their mobile phone whilst driving. The driver will be reported to @COPFS."
Drivers may receive 6 penalty points and a £200 fine if they hold and use a phone, sat nav, tablet, or any device that can send and receive data while driving or riding a motorcycle.
In some cases they can be taken to court or lose their license.
