A Dunfermline church has held its first congregation since relocating to a converted office building in Halbeath.
Dunfermline United Reformed Church left its old location on Canmore Street behind three years ago.
But its members have remained faithful thorough the transitional period.
Treasurer Bob Christie said: “Three years ago we had a meeting and decided to leave the place.
"We didn’t have anywhere to go, but we all agreed to go ahead and sell it. We’ve managed to keep together through all that time, and we’ve even had some new members coming along.
“Our activities have been somewhat limited, because we’ve been nomadic basically. We were all very happy on Sunday that’s for sure.
“We’re not totally set up yet and we don’t have a minister. It was actually the choir that took the first service, and it went quite well.
“The church is very open and friendly. We don’t turn anybody away no matter what. We’ve had every walk of life coming in, so they’re not stuck in their ways that’s for sure. Even at 90 odd.”
Speaking about the new premises, Mr Christie said: “It’s a very modern office. The ground floor was basically ready for us to move in, being a big wide-open area.
“We don’t need much. We have twenty odd people coming along so there’s plenty of space for us on the bottom floor. However, we had to buy the entire building, so we’re looking to lease out the top floor.
“What we’re looking to do is provide some small service offices, particularly for charities and the like.”
Meanwhile, the old church building on Canmore Street has been converted into the recently opened Green Dome Mosque.
