A Dunfermline man was high on drugs driving a car which had no MOT and no insurance.
As a result, 22-year-old Blair Watson, of McClelland Crescent, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on March 23 at Harley Street, Rosyth, he drove car which had no valid MOT and was not insured.
He also drove when over the limit for cocaine. His reading was 32 microgrammes of cocaine per litre of blood, the limit being 10 microgrammes.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said that at 12.15am police on patrol saw Watson’s car and checks showed it had no insurance.
He was stopped and subsequently failed a drugs test.
Watson said from the dock: “I thought I had paid the insurance and that the car was MOT’d.”
He said he had been at friend’s house, adding, “My head was on a different planet and I was stupid enough to jump in the car and drive.
“I made a lot of stupid mistakes that night.”
Sheriff Mark O’Hanlon banned Watson from driving for a year and fined him £940.
